Yes, I know. We tend to bake things from scratch too, but the Hemmings are a working couple, plus they have their business so they are extremely busy and know that there are other parents out there that needed quick, convenient and easy meals for their children upon returning home from work.

We have friends who have a daughter who needs a gluten-free diet, so when my oldest needed recipes to send into a magazine she contributes to she emailed them for recipes, as they are real tried and true recipes. Plus, my friend cooks and bakes from scratch too.

Holiday baking and cooking is fun. Glad to hear you have found alternatives that make you excited about preparing meals! That's always a good thing so thanks for sharing the additional resource.

I worry about finding tasty gluten free recipes as gluten has been linked to autism and I prefer to just avoid it all together. I’ve tried tons of different recipes and expensive “organic foods” from the stores but I recently came across this website www.RoseCole.com/HolidayCookBook . Rose Cole who is the nutritionist behind the site puts up all these great gluten free recipes in her Holiday Cookbook that are easy and affordable. I think I’m actually looking forward to cooking on the holidays for once. Lol
