Eco Friendly Wicker Market Bag from five ACCESSORIES

I have sort of become a handbag junkie of late, not necessarily a bad thing either. It’s actually quite fun! One of the new ones I recently acquired is the eco friendly Wicker Market bag from five ACCESSORIES. While it isn’t as large as I thought it would be, should have looked at the dimensions (11 1/4″ wide by 3″ deep by 16″ tall (including handles) on the description a bit more closely, it is still a wonderful medium sized bag. It really isn’t large enough to serve as an all day diaper bag, but for short jaunts a travel pack of wipes and a couple of diapers would fit into it, along with a few other small mom/baby items.

I’ve always loved wicker and this handbag is classic. It can be used as an accessory to a casual outfit or a fun summer outing with a nice sundress. I used it this past week when I went out. I wore a basic maternity top in cream color and a red skirt that has cream/olive flower print and thought the Wicker Market bag was a perfect match for my outfit and where I was going. Isn’t funny how little things like accessories and what we wear can change the way we feel? It’s a good thing, isn’t it?

The one thing this eco friendly handbag does not have that I like is an inside pocket. The inside is all open in its cloth lining and draw string closure top. It has sturdy handles, but I wouldn’t let my the kids toss it around or sit on it because of the delicate design on the outside could be broken in rough handling. Yes, children can do the darndest things sometimes and often without even thinking.

This fashionable bag retails for a whopping $75! However, as with all five’s handbags and accessories $5.00 from each handbag or 15% of accessory sales gives back to charity. Angel Baby’s Toy Bag

This is a cute toy bag from Angel Baby Bedding. It comes as an optional piece to the Baby Carriage set. It is 16.6″ x 11.8″ and is on sale for $36.00. It is made out of soft Egyptian cotton, which is known for its durability and is machine washable.

To be honest, I have not had a chance to use it to it’s fullest potential because we do not have a crib set up and since it is winter still we haven’t been using our stroller much either. I haven’t decided if I would give it to a friend who just had a baby girl or keep to use on our stroller. It simply ties on and will hold a small diaper bag full of toys and books. It would be handy for short outings or walks when a full diaper bag isn’t necessary.

This toy bag would accessorize a baby’s nursery, if it was tied to the crib rails to hold things you didn’t want baby to sleep with. Or as I stated it could be tied to the back of a stroller or even a rocking chair should someone choose that as a place to hang it. I was thinking of a convenient place to store books and toys for a toddler while nursing a baby. Depending upon the rocking chair, it might not be the most practical. Just a thought off the top of my head here as the night draws to a close at my house and I finish my posts for the evening.

I found the bag to be quite heavy, which for me made it a no go. Being a mom, I have so many things to take with me when I go out that if my bag is already heavy to begin with, I can’t even lift the darn thing after I put everything in it!

Besides that, the bag is beautiful. Very versatile, high quality, and stylish. Do I think it’s worth nearly $400 just because it’s 17 bags in 1? No, probably not. Being someone that gets her purses at Walmart or TJ Maxx, the Chouette seems extravagant. I’d probably tell you all to run out and buy one tomorrow if it were more like $100…

All in all, I like the bag, but I probably wouldn’t buy one. It may be just what you’ve been looking for though! They certainly have many stylish and fashionable fabrics to choose from.
