I came across this breastfeeding product while visiting another blog and do you think I can remember that blog now? Nope. But that’s not going to stop me from sharing it with you, I just can’t credit the lady who shared it with me via her blog post. It’s an alternative nursing cover called, the Moboleez Breastfeeding Hat. I think it’s cute. I’m not sure that my older seven children would have liked it because most of them haven’t really liked hats, but it’s something I’d be interested in trying with this new baby since I could start from birth; making it a habit from the beginning.
The Moboleez Breastfeeding Hat is a modern bonnet for breastfeeding babies.
About Mobleez
MoBoleez was founded by Diane Sam, a nursing mother of two who wanted to design something unique and fun in support of the breastfeeding mom. Diane is passionate about breastfeeding and wanted a line of products that reflected the love between mother and baby and was playful, natural and “non-medicalized”. Tired of fussing with dropping blankets and bulky nursing covers, Diane invented the breastfeeding hat as a modern, alternative nursing cover.

Here is an innovative blanket that appears to meet a need that most moms have faced at one point or another. This blanket provides a way to nurse and keep baby warm, covered and protected from rain or shine. Heather Correa is the creator of this protective blanket that is “modern and water resistant”. She created the blanket, which is made out of Woobee polar fleece, because she had a need as a young mother and could not find what she was looking for. Right at her own kitchen table with the help of friends the first blanket was sewn.
There are five different features to this blanket: you may attach it over yourself, over your baby carrier, over your stroller, over your baby’s carseat – because it has ties to attach it to these different baby accessories, and finally, the blanket may be used on the floor for tummy or play time like a regular blanket. How versatile is that? It also comes in three different fabric prints – Rings, Squares, and Sunburst, as you will see below.

The blanket is rather pricey, coming in at $39.00 ($36.00 plus $3.00 for s/h), but imagine having a blanket that doesn’t fall off every time you or your baby moves? I don’t know, but I think it might be worth the expense, especially with the wind and weather backing that one side of the blanket is made from. It would also make a neat baby shower gift.
The Woobee Guide may be viewed here and the blankets may be purchased at www.rainorshinekids.com
Please note: Each time you click on the photos of the product page where it says “buy now” on the Rain or Shine Kids website, it adds product to your cart. It’s different.

Kate Robertson, owner of Mayu Hand-Knit Alpaca, created Mayu after serving as a volunteer in the Peace Corps in Peru for over two years. She fell in love with the Peruvian ladies and their incredible knitting skills. These artisans learned to knit at very young ages and Ms. Robertson desired to help them establish a business doing what they do best – knitting. Ms. Robertson held workshops and met with the ladies on a regular basis while in Peru, thus forming very good relationships with them. The ladies are all mothers, some married, some separated, and some single. As mothers, they desire to be with their children and be able to earn an income to help with the family’s finances.
Therefore, as Ms. Robertson was finishing her time with the Peace Corps, she came up with the idea of starting Mayu in an effort to continue to support and assist her Peruvian friends. The mission of Mayu is to provide fair wages and to generate income for her beloved artisans. The income generated through Mayu helps provide better education for the women’s children. Also, one lady was able to have dental work done and others have traveled outside of their village.
As you see, Mayu has some very high quality items. The shawls could double up as a nursing cover for discreet breastfeeding. The long hoodie ($179.00) is great and makes life easy to carry children around, play with them and deal with them while wearing a hoodie because it is comfortable, won’t get in the way and it stays on your body. The Peruvian women take about 16 hours to knit a capelet and 24-32 hours to knit the long hoodie. Then they hand wash, dry and hand sew tags on. There is additional time invested to travel 2.5 hours to the city to mail the products to Mayu. The value of the products far outweighs the cost when you consider the time each artisan puts into her work. Mayu’s hand-knit alpaca products are another gift that gives back. Shop Mayu.

Sometimes, you have a vision of what your bambino’s nursery will look like from the moment you hear the whoosh-whoosh of his or her tiny heartbeat. And sometimes, this vision seems impossible to realize, no matter how many baby superstores you visit or internet searches you perform in your quest for the perfect linens and accessories. But it’s not.
Over at Oh Petit Bebe, you can custom order crib bedding (for both standard and Stokke cribs) as well as other nursery items without breaking the bank (example: a custom bumper is $50, a fitted sheet $20). Simply purchase your dream fabric in the yardage indicated on the site, mail it in with your specifications, and start checking your mailbox–most orders are complete within 3-7 business days.
Nowadays, there are no impossible dreams!

Coolest thing ever. No joke.
MoBoleez hats are the only hats designed specially for the breastfeeding baby and mom. The “stay on head sideways” design means that once the hat is on, it’ll stay on, and no more fussing with dropping blankets or awkward, bulky ‘nursing covers’. While the big brim gives mom a little privacy, it doesn’t cover up the breastfeeding, it celebrates it in a fun sort of way!
MoBoleez hats come with illustrations for the top of baby’s head (visible when breastfeeding of course!). The cute pictures on top with their lighthearted messages (“Milky Way”, “Bee-licious”, etc) all convey the message that the MoBoleez mom is a proud breastfeeding babe, with a sense of humor and style!
MoBoleez hats come in pink, blue, green, cream and red colours, and a variety of whimsical designs. I have the cool Cafe au Lait hat in pink. It is sooooo cute! I love it and I always get tons of compliments on it when I’m out.
I especially use it in the car, when the sun is shining in the window and getting in my little girl’s eyes. The MoBoleez hats aren’t super duper modest like the large nursing covers. Instead, they provide adequate coverage so that nobody gets insulted that your boobies are hanging out, yet you aren’t covering them AND your little baby up to the hilt. It’s the perfect solution.
We love our MoBoleez hat and highly recommend them to moms everywhere!! These hats are a must-buy!

Breastfeeding is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your baby. But many mothers get frustrated due to the difficulty in trying to nurse in public.
We all have horror stories of having blankets pulled off, nursing in a dirty bathroom stall, or trying to race home with a hungry and hysterical baby. Having a nursing cover will allow you the freedom to breastfeed whenever you need to, wherever you need to, without compromising your modesty.
Milk Mumu’s Slogan:
“Anyone can make a nursing cover,
but we make nursing classy!”
My Review:
The Milk Mumu was definitely the best nursing cover I have had the opportunity to use and review. They are similar to the Bebe au Lait nursing covers, but better.
The strap that goes around your neck is thinner and more flexible, which I found was more comfortable. The rigid neckline on the Milk Mumu is similar to the one on the Bebe au Lait cover, but less stiff and easier to manage. The Milk Mumu was also slightly smaller in width and length, which made it much easier to maneuver into the correct position. I also liked the terry cloth pocket in the corner better than the one on the Bebe au Lait nursing cover.
Overall, the Milk Mumu has become my favorite nursing cover and it now resides in my diaper bag at all times. I definitely recommend the Milk Mumu to any nursing mother that wants to cover up and stay fashionable.
You can purchase Milk Mumu nursing covers on their website as well as in their eBay store.

Breastfeeding is something to be proud of. For those of us who are not so comfortable breastfeeding in public, Bebe au Lait has got you covered – and in style.
Bebe au Lait and Hooter Hiders nursing covers can be found in upscale maternity and baby boutiques all across the U.S and the rest of the world.
I can’t say enough nice things about these nursing covers. They are easy to put on, easy to adjust, you can see your baby while your nursing, and it’s so much more fashionable than just throwing your baby’s blanket over you.
I have the “chocolat” print nursing cover, as shown in the picture to the right. My mom thinks it’s too “wild and crazy” but I think it’s a great modern/retro print. I found a diaper bag with the same print on another website. If it wasn’t $129.00, I would have bought it!
I highly recommend these to any breastfeeding mother who wants to be discreet and fashionable at the same time. If you are interested in purchasing one of these fabulous nursing covers, visit the Bebe au Lait website and pick out your favorite print.
