Honestly, I’m a HUGE fan of pop music. I know who every single artist on the charts is today and if you turned on the radio the chances are that I could tell you what song is playing is nine out of ten. So, when I first heard about the Kidz Bop 20 new cd coming out I was a little intrigued. Especially since this cd has some of my favorite songs on it!
I went to the website and listened to the testers and this is what I thought of a few songs on the cd.
Born This Way
Honestly, isn’t Lady Gaga’s version bad enough? I’m sort of on the fence about Lady Gaga. So when I heard the kids singing this song I was completely shocked. It wasn’t downright horrible, but it certainly wasn’t any good!
Forget You
I never liked Forget You. I switch the radio station every time this song comes on. And this version isn’t much better!
Written In The Stars
I love this song. It’s such a cool song! And the kid’s version? Not so much.
On The Floor
Honestly, isn’t J.LO’s song bad enough? (yes, I really do hate this song! I find it very annoying) and the kids song was even worse.
Perfect
I think this was one of the few songs by the kids that I actually liked. It was actually pretty good! The kids did a good job on this song! Know, would I put this version on my iPod? Probably not, I like Pink’s version better.
More
I love More by Usher. It’s such a fun song to rock out to. And I’ll admit it, the kid’s version wasn’t as bad as Who Says, but it could have been better.
Who Says
Why? Why? Why? Why did you butcher this beautiful song by Selena Gomez. Why? This version of one of my favorite songs is awful.
Never Say Never
Justin Bieber is one of my favorite artists ever. What’s not to love about him? Let’s just say that this version of the song came nowhere near as awesome as Justin’s version!
So what about you and your kids? Do you love or hate Kids Bop 20? Me? I hate it. If your kids want music by kids then sure, get them this CD, but skip it for your teens and tweens.
