The Creators, Kelye McKinney and Jim Mulligan, originally co-workers for the City of Roseville, CA, were civil engineers by trade who were inspired to create the original Graffeeti shoes with no background in fashion or children’s shoes and apparel. Working daily with dry erase boards in conference rooms and having tossed enough of their own kids’ shoes away over the years was enough to spark their imagination! They also admit to being life long doodlers who shortened the life expectancy of many a pair of sneakers in their day.
