Have your kids discovered the precocious redheaded schoolgirl, Madeline, yet? This year marks the 70th anniversary of the release of Ludwig Bemelmans’ beloved children’s story, Madeline. A winner will be contacted on or before November 10th, 2009 and asked for full name, along with their mailing address.     My daughter really likes reading Lilly’s Big Day by Kevin Henkes. She also loves the Madeline books and always comments how important it is to walk in a straight line like the characters.
