When you’re pregnant with a child, everything usually starts to change. You start to cut back on certain vices that were bad for you, but in this case, it is to protect the child. However, even when the baby is born, you have to be careful about what you do. However, is there a safer way to smoke which will not harm the child?
Vaping – Is it the safer option for you and your little one?
Your baby is your pride and joy. You carried them for nine months and helped to bring them into this world. It, therefore, doesn’t make any sense to risk harming them within the first year by smoking, right? However, this was sometimes the case with a lot of young mothers. Most of the time, the child grew up without any problems, but it’s a risk which no one wants to take.
It was at that sort of time that people began to look into vaping as a way to smoke without harming anyone. As we all know, normal smoking contains chemicals which are harmful to the human body. These are such things as tar and carbon monoxide, and they’re both toxic to the system and will cause all manner of problems in later life. This is especially true when you consider how weak and vulnerable babies can be for the first year or so, and that their immune systems won’t be developed enough for an attack of that ferocity.
What people liked about vaping was that it caused very few problems, if any, in later life. The e-liquids which are used to vape contain none of the harmful chemicals which people were worried about, so you could vape without endangering the baby in the same way. Furthermore, the issue of second-hand smoke is now removed. Before, the issue with smoking a cigarette is that the potential issues did not stop with you. People who breathed in second-hand smoke were also at risk of the carbon monoxide and tar, which meant that they were at risk of contracting the same kinds of conditions that the smoker could. Thankfully, what you’re getting when you exhale vapour from a vaping device is instead just mostly water vapor and a small amount of flavoring, so the baby is safe and so is anyone else in the vicinity.
Overall, vaping is a much safer way of smoking, and is perhaps the best possible choice for smoking around kids if you can’t manage to quit. We don’t want our little ones to come to harm, so why take the risk? Vaping is so much safer for both you and your little one, which is why it’s rapidly becoming popular among parents and smokers. Not only will it improve your lifespan, so you’re there for the moments that matter, but it also means that you’re not putting your little one at risk. As well as this, you’re perhaps setting a better example for them, as they’re not growing up with the impression smoking cigarettes is a good idea.
