Have your kids discovered the precocious redheaded schoolgirl, Madeline, yet? This year marks the 70th anniversary of the release of Ludwig Bemelmans’ beloved children’s story, Madeline.     I don’t have children, but my favorite children’s book was Pippi Longstocking – she was tough and spunky, and that’s what I wanted to be too!

    My daughter has always loved Madeline and the other girls and Mrs. Clavelle. She loved the movie about the chapeau (I think that’s how you spell it…the hat). Thanks.
