Summer is just around the corner and while I’m not quite ready for it. I have to start planning for all the fun activities my kids are going to want to do! Here are five summer outdoor must haves for every pool party, summer afternoon, and beach outing.
Flip Flops Who has time to tug on shoes or tie laces? Not to mention wet sneakers are never fun. Pick up some flip flops for the entire family at Walmart or Target just to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Not to mention just sliding flip flops on kidlets feet saves so much time.
Swim Cover Ups Grab some baggy t-shirts for the boys and some cute little coverups from Target for your daughter to keep sunburns and nasty heat rashes away. Not to mention as added protection from skin cancer.
UV Skinz one of my favorite brands of all time sells protective swim shirts for both adults and kids. I have two for my youngest boys and they work great. I love that they don’t get sunburns.
Smart Girls Who Surf Sunscreen As a mom of eight kids I have tried many sunscreens over the past few years. The natural ones don’t work and the cheap ones are laced with harmful chemicals. This sunscreen brand is all natural and free to use on even the littlest ones bodies. The best part? It actually works.
Capri Sun Capri Sun has natural fruit drinks that are easily portable. My kids always ask for these and as a mom I love how affordable they are. You can find them in twenty four packs at stores nationwide. Not to mention they have over twenty flavors to choose from.

Spray on sunscreen!!!! It works great for the kids. Also we load up on healthy popsicles

I’d add a book for reading on the beach! Oh, and sand toys if you have young kids! I love building sand castles with my son.
Here in Vegas it’s already like summer! I’d say…. water!! And more water!
