If there’s one product that I have not been able to change over to an eco-friendly version or all natural version, it’s deodorant. Anything I have tried just does not act like an effective deodorant and let’s just say that I never end up smelling pretty. It’s not that I want or need antiperspirant, we were made with sweat glands and to supress them isn’t natural, in my opinion. However, it is my desire to smell nice and not divide crowds, if you know what I mean.
Another common problem with deodorants is the fact that so many of them will either cause or help create those lovely yellow stains on the underarm of tops, white tops and shirts especially.
Colgate-Palmolive Company has recently introduced their new Speed Stick Deodorant with Stainguard (TM). According to them 68% of women agree that yellow underarm stains are bothersome. This new deodorant is made with special Stain Defense Technology formulated to help fight those nasty stains. This new Lady Speed Stick (R) Stainguard (TM) has been clinically proven to provide 24-hour protection from odor and wetness. It also comes in two fragrances: Powder Fresh and Daringly Fresh.
They have also made a new Men’s Speed Stick Deodorant with Stainguard (TM).
Both speed sticks retail for approximately $2.49-$3.99 at any major retailer.
My husband and I have been trying out the new speed stick deodorants for about a week or more. We like how they smell. I have purposely tried to wear my good white tee a bit more in this hot weather just to see the results from using the Lady Speed Stick (R). I haven’t noticed any yellow forming beneath the underarm area, which is a nice thing! But obviously more time is needed to fully determine if it will completely eliminate the yellow staining.
Both seem to be effective in keeping unpleasant odors at bay, if you know what I mean. 😉 I don’t know if we can say that they are amazingly different than other deodorants we have used, but definitely comparable.
