5 Ultimately Unique Group Halloween Costumes You Can Also Wear Alone

The rest of the costume went hiding when it came to coming to the Halloween costume party; now, you’re alone.

Luckily, you’re not without a clever group costume you can wear alone. Check out the following last-minute and ultimately unique Halloween costumes. You’ll be the center of attention even if the other members of your costume decided to be squares.

A Piece of Tetris

Show up to the party as a man or woman without somewhere to fit. Going as a group would make for a clever collective costume, yet you can pull off the right angle alone. Make sure you get the shape and color right in case you’re called out or quizzed by aficionados and geeks alike.

Use an over-sized box and box cutter or knife to make your desired Tetris shape. Poke your head out of the top and hands out of the sides. Use two belts or straps to support the box while you’re thinking about how to take things to the next level with Princess Zelda sitting over in the corner.

A Ghost of Pac-Man

You could be Pac-Man himself, but that’s too obvious and has been done. Rather, if you are singled-out but in need of a clever costume, choose one of the ghosts that chase Pac-Man around the multiple levels of the arcade classic.

There’s a purple, blue, red, and orange ghost, as well as a number of fruits, like cherries, featured throughout the game, making for obscure but hilarious costume selections you’re likely to find at the Spirit Halloween website.

A Human Troll Doll

Troll each person at the party with the bare essentials and a much-needed high-reaching wig. Troll dolls were a hit with kids who twisted, braided, and cut the hairs of dolls, only to discard or trade them to make room for more and more.

Find a nude-colored body suit or beige-colored pants and shirt (consider painting your face or just using a lot of foundation). Find a troll wig at an online or local vendor to complete the look. Just don’t stand too close to Edward Scissorhands or any others with weapons that could be used to give you a new hairdo.

A Black-and-White Character

This ingeniously simple idea is perfect for those who wait until the last hour to decide on a costume. What’s great is you can play a guy or gal classic film role and find formal wear suitable to play the black-and-white character.

Find suit-able apparel, choosing an old suit and pants for guys and dresses for gals. All items have to be colored white or black to achieve the desired effect. Paint your face and visible body parts white as you fix your hair in a 1930’s-like style.

One of the Jackson Family

The Jackson 5 were known throughout the nineteen sixties and seventies, but Michael Jackson continued as a solo artist well into the next century, achieving a number of hits and revealing countless styles that ranged from a red leather jacket with infinite zippers to a South Beach-like cabana-gangster.

Whether choosing young or hardly-seems-like-he’s-aging Michael Jackson, you have a range of album covers, videos, and magazine shoots to glean ideas from. If your ‘family’ can’t make it to the costume party, at least you can look good being bad.

Now, you’re hiding a number of group ideas under your sleeve and may exercise the choice of going stag (or just saying that when others ask) to the next Halloween party. If the others can’t make it, it doesn’t mean you can’t be the hit.
