It has been such a privilege to participate in dvd reviews and pre-screenings of upcoming movies. Walk in My Shoes was no exception.
I didn’t quite know what to expect from the title or the opening scene. I actually started to wonder if I had made a mistake in opting in on this review. I had a couple of preconceived ideas like that, but thankfully they were just that… preconceived; and I was glad I got past the first few seconds!
Walk in My Shoes is a movie that was enjoyable entertainment. It made us laugh and cry (Don’t you love those kinds of movies?). It was a touching story about the realities of life and how easy it is to become so self-absorbed that we neglect to put ourselves in another person’s shoes (thus the title Walk in My Shoes); easily overlooking their problems and needs.
Now, I don’t want to give you preconceived ideas of your own, but if you are old enough to remember Michael Landon’s Highway to Heaven or more recently Touched By An Angel, then this movie may remind you of those “oldies”. I know it did me. I’d even like to think that the writers of the show actually planned to toss in a little bit of “scrooge” too, but not really. Ha, have you guessing now, don’t I? Well, there’s a sneak peek below so you’ll be able to decide for yourself what your pre-thoughts are!
We thought the movie was great family friendly entertainment to start off the Christmas holidays.
